Science Communication and Policy Consultant
Using my technical, political, and communication expertise, I collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement science-related products. This includes physics curriculum, energy policy analysis, and science writing for a broad audience.

Energy, Climate, and Environment Policy Fellow
United States Senate
In my role as a AAAS Science and Technology Fellow in Senator Tina Smith's D.C. Office, I worked to represent the interests of Tribal nations, defend our public spaces, and decarbonize heavy industry. My work included writing legislation, advising the Senator, and managing relationships with constituents, labor, non-profit organizations, and industry.

During my internship, I advised the Chair of the California Energy Commission on California energy policy implementation including Tribal Consultation, Cost-Benefit Analyses, and Equity Data Analysis.

At NASEM, I explored policy pathways for decarbonizing the nitrogen fertilizer industry and contributed to reviews on federal agencies' SBIR and STTR grant programs that fund small business' technological innovation.

PhD, Physics
My doctorate focused on building a new type of quantum computer based on neutral atoms. I led a team of five other researchers through the construction of this computer. The five-year process equipped me with the empathetic leadership, intuitive problem solving skills, and technical know-how to solve and communicate any complex problem.
