My Work
Energy and Climate Policy
I have contributed to the energy, climate, and environment policy landscape at the federal (US) and state (CA) levels as well as with the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). These projects have ranged from data-driven policy analysis to advocacy, legislation, and political strategy. I am currently open to new opportunities to contribute in these areas.
Some of my favorite projects include:
-
Protecting the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness from sulfide-ore mining (U.S. Senate)
-
Drafting legislation to decarbonize the steel industry (U.S. Senate)
-
Ensuring equitable distribution of EV charging infrastructure (California Energy Commission)
-
Researching policy levers to decarbonize the nitrogen fertilizer industry (NASEM)

Curriculum Development
I am currently working with Fermi Physics, an education-tech startup, to democratise advanced physics teaching and learning. I lead course scoping, lecturer liaising, curriculum development, and workflow development.
Physics Research
For my PhD dissertation at MIT, I not only built a new type of quantum computer, but I collaborated with theorists to develop protocols for how to program such a computer. Along the way, I contributed to several research directions within the field of atomic physics. My Google Scholar page showcases my published work, and you can find my doctoral thesis at the MIT website.
